I miss my mother every day. It seems the years have not lessened the ache that her passing left. I wish she could have enjoyed my son growing up. I know she watched over him from above.
Same with me, Arista. The older I get, the more I look like her-- people always tell me that and it's true. I look in the mirror now and see my mom looking back at me. It makes me wistful and happy at the same time.

This is my Mom and I at my High School graduation. I am the only one of her three children to graduate High School. I have never felt a feeling like I did that day. I made her so proud. I love my Mom more than anything. We share amazing memories together. I love that even tho i am married now and live half a country away. I can still call her in the morning and chat about stupid stuff.

That's a nice way to look at things! The last conversation I ever had with my father was a fight. He died unexpectedly a few months later. That was a little over a year ago. Having a positive "last" memory is something to be grateful for. I know that's probably not much comfort when you love and miss someone...(Here's a hug for you, too!)
Thanks for the hug. I'm sorry for the way things ended with your father. I can still get a laugh out if the memory.
