Well Friends, is there anything else we should bring up in this discussion for this evening? I am drawing a blank, but am enjoying the re-read at a slower pace than my first one.
I really appreciated the way I could "see" the interaction between Pete and Hodges at the restaurant. SK is such a master of description and I feel like I forget that sometimes because he does it so effortlessly. (That's the only other thing I wanted to "say." :) )

He is such a master with words. His characters' dialogue expresses their feelings with each other, which is down to earth and real. One of his very talented gifts.

I completely agree, KFF. No question he wouldn't have made it without the loving support of his amazing wife, supportive kids, or ethic of hard work. I wish I could be a fly on the wall at one of their literary discussions.:yes_pig:
