Year end and reporters already seem drunk.
It was watching CP24 and they showed a clip of a woman winning a really expensive car on Price is Right. She was REALLY excited and started running around the stage, literally running around the stage. And the reporter watching the clip said something about her "burning off some of that fat".

...I've spent most of my life in an extension of the Fourth Estate, and never cease to be amazed by the "plumb dumbness" of my so called colleagues...I enjoy funny, but personal attacks are anything but...I'm too old school to buy in, most media is the business of entertainment-however, they also reflect the wishes of the dumbazzes that make up the majority of their audiences...such is the shift in culture and the ascendance of the "Cult of Honey Boo-Boo"....

It is the same with the internet and cyberbullying - it has taken cruelty to a whole new level unfortunately, as people gang up on their schoolmates to the extent that some actually commit suicide

Have you noticed the size of the egos of the majority of news hosts and reporters these days? Most are not very intelligent. They blabber on and on, constantly talk over the people they are interviewing, make lame/tasteless jokes (which I'm sure they consider clever), have no historical perspective, make grammatical errors… These prima donnas are a far cry from Walter Cronkite, Eric Sevareid, John Chancellor, and others who exhibited intelligence and class on the air.
Totally despicable behavior! The....... *ahem* ....... 'reporter' should be fired.

naw...this is a different league altogether, Scott. Thought I heard the offender apologized, heard or read a snippet. In other news, there's a new outfit: KAACKLE...kids against adult children leading (by) example. When the so-called adults believe it is okay to offer up remarks on prime-time...I dunno. Isn't there a line in a King story about requiring some people...or all people...be licensed before they speak?

Oh my God - those were my thoughts exactly. You need a license to own a dog but any fool can get pregnant (or so it seems).
I see people who cannot have children or else the woman keeps having miscarriages and my heart goes out to them.
I still think it is a woman's right to choose what to do with her own body though so I am not suggesting we bring back the "bad ole days" where unwed mothers were forced to give up their babies for adoption. (Nuff said as this is veering dangerously into a Religion or Politics thread - sorry!)
