Got a phone call this morning at work from mum, she had some bad abdominal pain so she rang the ambulance. Turns out she has kidney stones, so she is in a&e waiting to pass them. Ouch, glad its not me I've heard that they are quite painful to pass.

Sending prayers along to you and Mum. I have had two kidney stones and they are NOT fun. The first one I must have passed and the second one required surgery.
Keep the stone if you can. They are good in soup!

Thank you for the loves and prayers, mum is staying overnight in the hospital to get her pain levels to a manageable rate, she still hasn't passed the stone yet. The nurses looking after her are super friendly and nice.
...they are excruciatingly nasty....lots of water to lubricate and help force passage, pain medicine and maybe something to help relax her urethra...I wish her as easy a passing of the little bastid as possible...
