IT is my favorite book ever as well. Reading it was an experience in and of itself. I had never been so completely drawn into a world and the lives of characters like that ever since. It's terrifying, heartbreaking, funny, touching, moving and just all around a work of mad genius. His other massive tome, The Stand, is also a masterpiece and is more linear in narrative. It by comparison has many off-shoots and asides that make it feel more unwieldy, but that is part of it's dark magic. I remember reading it in school during class and lunch and just shutting out the world.

Many people probably know my stance on IT by now, I bleet on about it enough. IT is my favourite book by a mile. He builds characters in IT (and his other long books) so wonderfully that it becomes impossible not to become attatched to them, to hate Eddie's Mom but at the same time, feel for her, and kind of understand her warped logic. I even disliked (young) Bill a bit because I felt bad for Ben when knows he can't win Bev's feelings because of Bill.

I have read it twice and even though I still have many books to read - about 36 (which includes some major titles like Under the Dome, Salems Lot, Talisman), and that's not counting the short story collections I have been picking through - I will no doubt read IT again before I get through the others, the urge to reread it is always there.

My favourite parts are the backstories (Blackspot, Bradley gang etc), and the losers just hanging out, enjoying the summer and a bit of peace in the barrens.

IT is my favourite work of fiction. Full stop. The story resonates with me especially, I haven't even been on this planet two decades yet, so the parts with the Losers enjoying each others company, really pull heartstrings for me. Makes me realise I'm not a child for much longer, so I should make the most of it.

The only thing that ever scar(r)ed me was a gutter on a side street after a rainstorm when I was old enough to not be scared.

IT was my first novel period. I fell in love with reading after it(no pun). I gobbled up all Sai King's books I could get my hands on and ventured to other authors but King is the King and IT is my all time favorite!!!
