I had a Stand dream the other night. Does that count? I was in Stu Redman's group heading for Mother Abigail's and we were scavenging along the way. I found a canary yellow roaster (lovely color, with a matching rack and lid) that I thought would come in handy if we ever wanted to roast a chicken on our travels!

Speaking of "The Stand." I take Staten Island Ferry (aka The Orange Vessel of Doom) to work. Most of the days, there's that very frail elderly black lady rolling a suitcase. She's no taller than 5'2", weighs no more than 90lb and appears to be at least 90 years of age, but who knows, right?! Well, every time I see her, I think Mother Abagail, and, I swear to Gan, one of these days I'll end up calling her just that.

Nope, I've never met the guy. I've lived in NYC for the past 20 years and the closest I've ever been to Maine is Boston, MA, which was 11 years ago, way before I joined CR ranks. The only person in Maine, that I know, doesn't know me (hint hint).
I did have a SK moment tonight, nevertheless. I got a phone call a few hours ago from 207 area code, which my phone correctly translated as Bangor, ME number. Whoever called me, hung up immediately and, as a quick research later showed, it was a telemarketer. None of that matters though. Can you guess what was the very first thought that entered my mind at the time?!
What was your SK moment?
Welcome - was it Pennywise on the phone?

It was something about credit cards, no mention of floating.

Lucky you - I just get the sneaky b*stards that want access to my computer to "fix my problem with Windows" :facepalm_smiley:

He, or rather his characters, have haunted my dreams a couple of times. Does that count? I find myself in Pet semetary and its not going good and i always die and then i wake up only to find, after a moment of hesitation, that i am still alive. If i remember correctly it is Gage that gets me in the end.

As far as SK's works in everyday life - I no longer look at every day things the same way I used to.
The day I finished "Christine", I was walking towards my car on an unlighted side street in the evening and, as I pressed unlock button on the remote control, the headlights went on automatically and I thought, that in the early 80's it'd completely freak someone out, especially if one was familiar with the book.
The day I read "The Mist", it was really foggy outside.
Saw a tarantula in the Zoo recently and started thinking about Pennywise.
Was driving in upstate NY last summer on a country road with thick woods and a stream on one side - The Barrens.
Seagulls - Survivor type.

There's also one thing, that made it to the very top of my "freak-me-out" list, which was never on the list to begin with - electric kitchen knife. Even thinking of one makes me want to hide my thumbs somehow.
