Kurben my sister has been to Petra and was so amazed, this was 1993, she even got to ride a horse through the passage like Indiana Jones and his father!!
Ms. Mod, speaking with my sister this afternoon I asked her if she had been to Jordan and Petra, she said she had in 1992. She said she felt safe but she also noted that she was with the American Women's Association from Bahrain. She said she would not go alone and that given an opportunity and with a couple of women companions you should make the trip. Also camels can stand 11 feet tall and that they spit at you!!!!What an amazing experience, Kurben ! I wish the world was a safer place for Americans/women to travel as there are so many places I would love to go if I had the time/money but even if I did, I don't feel I can without putting myself in danger. I can visit this one vicariously through your posts and photos.
