So sorry to hear that Pegasus, it may sound like new age bull, but I believe the mind is a very powerful tool when fighting illness - I believe a strong willed, strong minded person will have a much better chance than someone who just gives up. Stay positive (easy for me to say, I know) and think about WHEN you get better rather than IF you get better.

Maybe after I talk with my doctor tomorrow, I will understand a lot more than I do right now.
I know she is going to refer me to another doctor that will be doing the surgery. Like I said it's a wait, and see game right now.
Again, thanks for all the hugs, and well wishes.

I need all the hugs, and prayers I can get. Thanks everyone.
Mary, I am also going through cancer treatment. When I was diagnosed, I know how scared I was. It took me a few days to process everything, and talking to the doctors to get the right treatment started. Now I take it a day at a time and most days feel pretty well. When one hears that dreaded word, even these days we will think the worst. But it will get a little easier for you once you get over this initial shock and decide on your options. Never give up! If I can help support you in any way at all, please let me know.

(((Mary))) A couple small suggestions. Get a notebook or some type of journal to write in. Put it in your purse along with a couple of pens. At each Dr. Visit, write answers to any questions you have jotted down. It helps as you are trying to remember what, when, where, etc. Also ask your daughter to go to the initial few visits, at least until you understand more. Keep in touch

I am an ongoing cancer fighter and survivor here. Lots of things to do to keep you sane. I found the cancer society very helpful. When I had to go to another city to get treatment, they provided free beautiful hotel rooms free. Check them out and see the ways they can support you. They use to have tea parties here .....cancer fighters would get together and give each other support.
