Nap Rooms.....

I think many kids are not learning because they are not getting enough sleep. My sleep time and that of my friends was very different than the times kids go to bed now.
We had nap time when I worked at the Hope Mission...the shifts were 12 hours long. I tried that once and never again. I do not get refreshed with a power nap....I feel like crap instead.
Thoughts on this?

I'm not usually one who benefits from naps. If I'm sick I might sleep on and off all day. In general though, naps just make me feel sluggish.

I think that power naps rule. Just a short 30 minutes and feel like a new person.

I nap like crazy. I know that part of it is pure psychology, escape. Part is inescapably physical fatigue due to being older. I feel the need for it, but on days I work I don't miss it.

No naps for me. They make me cranky and it takes me about 1/2 hour to get back into reality. Now a quick shower, that makes me feel rejuvenated and relaxed. Let's hear it for the Power Shower!

I don't fall asleep easily so a power nap is not something I can do. In general naps make me feel worse than if I just stayed awake.

Same here- naps tend to make me irritable. Have found recently, if it's been a difficult night, a late afternoon nap (a good hour) will get me through the remainder of the evening/ night. I chalk that up to "old age syndrome".
