Hi, you!

You've had the pan dulce? Way cool. :blues: I love them but with the lard (LARD)...I eat them very selectively. (The lard (LARD) insists on grouping with my cellulite. :Oo:)

Hugs dear pegasus216

You use that crisco stuff? My mom used to. Thought it was vanilla frosting one time when I was little. Thought I was gonna die after a dipping spoonfull, looked soo good.

 NOT vanilla frosting. :O_O: :barf:

Nottie? Have you ever had pan dulce? It's very good but rich. (LARD)

Polvorones de canela (cinnamon cookies) are freaking awesome

BUT!!! you have to have a beverage close by when you eat them. Those things will suck up all the spit in your mouth and come verrrrryyyy close to killing you. Ha!

Love you Nottie!

(I made a pot roast today that would knock your socks off. Pot roast, celery, onion, green bell pepper, carrots, and red potatoes. With mushrooms and mushroom sauce. Have mercy. Crusty French bread AND flour tortillas! I'm going to be throwing a mighty munch the next few days.)

Don't think so, not a real one anyway!

Green peppers in a pot roast? I stick to my mom's receipe.
Boring but , hey - can't have it any other way.

Can you tell Irish?

Blast the hell out of a rump roast at 400 for half an hr. with something she called "fat back" eww. I re-named it juice-maker white thing.

When it is darkened, throw water in there, cover it and lower temp. This is important to remember.

Let it go for about 4 hours. huh? Then throw yer carrots, onions and taters in. for a half.

Make gravy out of white juice thing and drippings. with flour and water.

Cole slaw.

I'm not sure what the name of the ones I had were. My s-I-l's mother sent some over for us. (They are Mexican)

Sig, you have me cracking up here, and I needed that!
