Today is the day we celebrate the coffee! Go grab a cup of Java and enjoy.

One of my earliest memories is sitting on my own grandma's lap, in front of an iron potbellied stove, her giving me tiny sips of her coffee. I still remember that I didn't like the taste - the family on Dad's side pretty much drank it black and unsweetened - but it was just so special to do that that I kept sipping.

So I don't know if the caffeine resistance is innate or acquired. I can drink three or four cups of coffee (black and unsweetened - I am from my family) in the morning, or none at all, but I sure enjoy it when I do. When I do drink it, I don't notice it waking me up. I can drink it at 9:00 p.m. and get to sleep fine.

At home, we grind our own geans, generally just during the weekends or when we have company coming over.

Viva coffee!!
