I have 8 smoke detectors in the house. Drives me crazy trying to figure out which one is the problem when that beeping starts because the battery is running low. They say to change all the batteries in your smoke detectors when you change your clocks at daylight savings time. Makes sense, but I guess I'd rather be like the dad and his furnace in A Christmas Story.

How to remove the one from the bedroom though... go figure. :)

I, too, change the batteries in my alarms when we change the clocks for Daylight Savings. I have two in my house. Please, if you don't have one in your house now, please, please go out and get one. They're not expensive anymore, usually around $10. Pretty cheap for something that can save your and your loved one's lives.

I have six smoke detectors in the house. When I changed the batteries last week, I noticed that the inside label said that I needed to replace each unit in February this year. Anyone have any idea how to do that? I have the kind that are wired into the house, with battery back up.
