King complains (whiiiines) about safery nets at Fenway. Well, that shows he's a true Mainah... The hell with safety, and nothing can change. Thanks for being true to the breed. Real Mainahs don't care about other people's safety or comfort.

I agree with King’s viewpoint about the nets. What true baseball fan wouldn’t? I feel it takes you out of the game. No more chances to catch a line drive down the baseline (or duck out of the way)... No thanks! Personally, when I get free tickets behind home plate, which happens on occasion (and the only way I would sit there), I would rather watch the game on TV. And unlike King, I would have taken the front office’s offer to move seats. But I’m a Phillies fan, and their fans are pretty obnoxious no matter where you sit. :)

He still has that option but said he would give it a try at his current seats first.

I think part of what most people are complaining about with the nets is that they are being inconvenienced because of people that go to the game, and don't pay attention. I think we are going to be subject to all kinds of safety measures to protect people staring at their phones. ;-D I used to have some seats similar to SKs at the Met's spring training stadium (mine were in the front row on top of the dugout). Although the spring stadium is much smaller than Fenway, I know exactly what he is talking about. I would have hated to stare through nets in those seats. They were kind of scary seats when certain hitters were up. I never took my eyes off the hitters.

That's good. Does the option have a time limit? If I had King’s fortune and clout I would demand both seats. Then at a later date I could sell off the one at the nets in the event the MBL doesn’t change their misguided decision.
Not sure how long he has to make a decision but I suspect as long as he's had those seats (plus he has 4 on the 3rd base line but never sits there), they'll accommodate him if/whenever they have others available.

That’s great to know he has several options. Seems the only thing King has to panic right now over the Red Sox situation is in regards to their awful starting rotation. :)

I don't expect you to answer this (it's not even a question actually).

I hope, and actually expect, that everyone with long-time seats in that area have the same options.
