At first I was thinking way back to women like Martha Washington but maybe someone a little more recent like Rosa Parks would be better.
What immediately jumps out at me more than which woman is up for the selection is that the legislation proposed was for a woman to be on a $20 bill and what we're getting is a 10. Yeah, we're making real progress with that financial equality disparity.

Maybe if women tried twice as hard we would be considered half as worthy as men.

We have puy women on bills for awhile now. We skipped that it was just Kings a long while back. Right now Selma Lagerlöf (the 1909 Nobel Prize winner for literature, she wrote some great ghost stories but is more known for other stuff) and soon Ingrid Bergman will be on outr bills. Must it be a political figure? Why not Harper Lee? Or Katherine Hepburn?
