New England autumn color

Hey, New England peeps....

My parents will visit a pal on Martha's Vineyard during the first week of October and are wanting to see fall foliage in Vermont and possibly New Hampshire either before or after their time in Massachusetts.

They are wondering (and so am I) if any of you know any B & Bs that are below the radar and don't cost a zillion a night in peak fall season. Any recommendations for foliage-viewing spots are also appreciated!

Yar, but everything looks bigger n brighter and... OMGoodness imagine the hue of those Autumn leaves!

When I moved to Louisiana, I had no idea how much I'd miss the autumn colors. They have two seasons down here: Green and dead.

They'll also need to remember that by that time the farther north they go the more likely the trees will already have reached peak or be past it.
