Hi all! I have grown up reading Stephen King books and my daughter is following in my footsteps. He is her FAVORITE author. She chose him to write about for her 5th grade Autobiography project. Her Christmas list for this year is basically a list of Stephen King books! I have encouraged her to write to him to ask some of her many questions. I know it's a shot in the dark but figured it was worth a chance to see! Anything for my baby girl! Meanwhile seems like a cool site!

Unfortunately, Stephen no longer responds personally to fan mail. If you think the questions might be able to be answered by staff, let me know and I will send you our office address.

That would be wonderful! She would be excited to connect and get some questions answered. She has been spending hours every day researching and chewing my ear off with updates on information about Mr.King. Very cool.

Welcome Heather Gonzalez (and daughter). :watermelon:

This is indeed a "cool site" and having questions answered by our beloved Moderator and staff is the next best thing to SK answering them himself!

Welcome, Heather! I’m impressed that your daughter, at such a young age, has found the joy of reading Mr. King. We hope that your quest that led you here might keep you around.

Thank you so much! She impresses me as well. She definitely marches to a beat from her own drum. Such a love for books and reading is rare these days!

She gave me her Christmas wish list and most of what she asked for were different Stephen King novels and a functional antique type writer with a lot of paper for her to write! Hahahaha Such an old soul!

This week she finished reading Carrie for her book report. She completed it in under a week! It's very cool to have a reader under my wing who shares my love for King and my obsession with books in general!

I've been reading King since I was a teen, myself. So will definitely be around. It seems like a great bunch of folks :))

You must be very proud that you led her down the right path! I also think it’s wonderful that your daughter’s teacher allowed her to read Carrie for her book report. I just retired from teaching, and I doubt the 5th-grade reading teacher at my school would have approved!

This is a great place to be. Ka-tet.

Thank you! Yes she makes us so proud. I'm happy they are allowing her to explore reading at her place and in the areas that she finds interesting. Next on her reading list is It! Which intimidates ME with length alone, but she is all in!!

...it's a damn shame that all curriculum can't be this way....that being said, I know SOME limits have to be set, but don't be draconian about it....
