...I'll take a stab at it....it's nothing directed at this young lady, but toward those that come on and say "Hi" and are never heard from again...it becomes more than a bit monotonous greeting so many-only to retain so few....IMO....

I understand... and it is sadly unfortunate when it does happen in a thread where somebody has shown no inclination to be that way, it can be very off-putting.

My comment was in general too... it was just a trend I had been noticing and I had an "oh no" moment when I dropped into this thread.
