Hello. I have been reading Mr. King's works since high school (1979) and to this day. Some of my favorite times in high school were staying home on the weekends and staying up late reading his latest novel. Obviously I wasn't very popular and didn't have an active social life, but reading Mr. King more than made up for that. Back then, Mr. King would come out with a new book on a yearly basis and release date was my happiest time of the year.

I look forward to the board's insight's on Mr. King's works and hope I can eventually become a valuable contributor.

Welcome Timothy... what's been your favourite so far? :)

You guys are so nice! Thanks for the welcome, mustangclaire!

Really hard to pick a favorite. 'Salem's Lot was great, as was Pet Cemetery. I think one of the most meaningful works was Christine, because I felt like Arnie growing up. I think Thinner is way under-rated and Dolores Claiborne is a great character study. And I think Blaze is great. But if I have to choose (with a gun to my head!) it would be The Stand (expanded edition).

What is your favorite so far?

Welcome fellow book nerd. I tried to be social in high school, but I was always eager to get home so I could read. And right now, counting the minutes until it's acceptable to go on upstairs and read some more. I'm currently working on Full Dark, No Stars and Desperation and Wind Through the Keyhole. I've become sort of scattered lately. Anyhow, I ramble. Glad to have you on board.

Oh how I remember that wait for the new release! It was usually in the fall, and I had to restrain myself because I knew my mom would be buying it for me (or THEM for me, in the case of Desperation & The Regulators) for Christmas--it was a 'no brainer' present :)

Welcome, Timothy :D
