I've been a fan of Stephen King's books for many years. My favorite is The Shining. I read The Shining while visiting my parents. The book was so good that I read most of the night. The next morning while taking a shower the drain gurgled. After reading The Shining the sound of the gurgling drain made me jump.

Oh my goodness. If a gurgling drain made you jump from The Shining, IT would put you right out of your skin! :)

Hello and welcome to the board!

Welcome Bobby! First, thank you for your service. And, I hope that you see continued improvement with your brain injury. Keep reading and exercise your brain!
The reason that I joined this forum is specifically because Stephen King has shown some understanding of brain injury in at least two books - 11/22/63 and Duma Key. I appreciate that. Most medical doctors don't have a clue when it comes to traumatic brain injury. That is according to my experience and the American Brain Injury Association web page. I will probably start a TBI thread on the 11/22/63 area.
