My first love. I had this exact model, year (1960) and color. Was able to party hardy for $125. You didn't see many on the road in 1974 thanks to Ralph Nader, and made for a cool hippie car.

My first car (and favorite also) was a 1970 Dodge Coronet - same color as below, but not quite a pretty

I miss those little side triangle windows (I don't know what they're called). They were perfect for letting a little air in. Why don't cars have those anymore? :(

Can only speak for myself that the only place I used it was in my car. At the time my kids were all school age and I was a single working mom, so became a necessity to keep in touch for all the school extra-curricular activities.
...and was also handy in a pinch if you needed to call in a fire mission to rear HQ....:D

School lunches..OH my they were served in a elementary in this huge metal cart that they wheeled down the hall. Then you lined up single file to get the lunches. I like raw spinach. However, to this day can not eat cooked spinach. They must have stewed that stuff all day prior to serving.

I had a pair of these back in the hippie era. Alternated between them, my Buffalo Sandals, Beatle Boots, and another type of shoe that I don't recall what they were called (but are now making a comeback I notice).

One phone per house and it usually was on a wall in the kitchen. There was nothing quite like being a teenager and trying to talk to a girl on one of these things while the entire family was just a few feet away listening. ;-D
Or your Mom calling the drug store when you are 13 1/2 and asking if they sold "Tampax Junior" while everyone sat around the kitchen table eating supper!
