Weird to think that a city in Western Canada rates higher than many cities in Italy. It also rates the highest in Canada, wow. Up in Northern Alberta, Fort McMurray, the pizza is really good, too. This is where I lived before Edmonton. I went to cooking school up there in College. One of my instructors owned an Italian restaurant which served wonderful pizza. Another place up there in the oilpatch is Jomah's Pizza. Holy moly....the lasagna is to die for.

Staro, what's the best pizza you've ever had? Toppings, location, everything.

-The best pizza I've ever had was in New York. Classic pepperoni and cheese, slice folded down the middle, absolutely delicious.

The best pizza I've ever made is my spinach-artichoke-garlic-goat cheese pizza. It had red sauce and Pecorino as well. I love meat on pizza but go figure - this one is my favorite and it's vegetarian!

It was the goat cheese that won you over.

I would say the three cheese pizza with bacon, pep, and salami from a place called Harpo's pizza in Fort McMurray, Alberta. That is up in the oilsands where I lived when I came up from Newfoundland. The pizza I made at a greek restaurant in Edmonton called Nathans was wonderful as well.

It is funny how fair sized cities...not really popular world wide...can hold it's own with the big cities worldwide. Edmonton has the super sized largest mall in North America....only one larger in the world. We also have great theatre and wonderful blues bars. We have Whyte Ave....our bohemian area that is full of everything. Pizza is good but it is not the only culinary experience to die for in this city. We have the best eateries around, I feel.
