Let the fun begin...........
I purchased my first Christmas gift yesterday.....a nice oil diffuser and a starter package of oils for my Mom. I usually try to have everything purchased, or at least ordered by Thanksgiving so that I can enjoy other aspects of the season without fighting grumpy shoppers who, for some reason, have forgotten that Christmas comes on the same day of every year.

Yeah, there's nothing better than getting everything done well ahead of time, then just kicking back and enjoying the final run-in. I promise myself it'll be like that every year. I've actually managed it maybe five times. There always seems to be something...

But yeah, cheers, Sunny. Made my day, that has. I was still waiting for summer to really start. ;)

Our summer was very short lived as well.......kinda feels like I've been cheated out of a tan or something

.....I should note that I only actually buy gifts for three people these days, so as not to give the impression that I'm some kind of shopping wonder.

We had a decent week at the end of May, then the odd run of days here and there between June and mid-August. That was it. Yet for some reason I keep hearing about this long, hot summer "we" have had. Must've been nice down in London, is all I can think (because as every Brit knows, London is all that matters).

;-D That does make me feel a little better. But thanks for the timely reminder. I'm getting a jump start this year!

I got into the habit of early shopping when I purchased gifts for extended family and friends. Back then, my list had over 20 people on it. I found that I liked peacefulness of being finished early, and have kept it up.
