My son had one of these but we had to give him away (the hedgehog, that is, not my son!)

I hear a fair amount, "I don't like kids."
As I suppress the desire to point out that that necessarily entails not liking one's own self in earlier form, my reaction really is:
Too bad. The kids that we have are our best chance to bring improvement to the world over what you and I have been able to accomplish. So suck it up, and let's grow them into people who can bring about positive change.

This is the most positive, supportive message board I know of. It's not a vulgar or combative environment like a lot of other websites.

But yes, this place is my second home and we work really hard to try and keep it a positive, happy place to be.

Thanks for the compliment, but just so that you realise... it's not about our authority, it's about everyone working together to ensure a happy environment for all members--and as that often includes young people, we need to have some guidelines. It's tough sometimes, but we do our best.
