I tried to find a thread that dealt with this topic but maybe I missed it. I was reading a book yesterday by an author named Philip Kerr and the book is called A Five Year Plan. Bottom page 61: 'Jesus, Tony, you got more suppose in there than Stephen (expletive) King.'

Great thread, Mark! I've read stories where either a King novel or King is mentioned. Thought I read one in a C.J. Box story recently, but I didn't highlight it or otherwise make a mark, kindle. I know I've seen others. I'll have to start noting them and posting here. :) There is that Kingston Trio song...trailer for sale or rent! blah blah blah...King of the Road! But King was probably, what? in high school when that song came out. I smoke! old stogies I have found!

I could be wrong about this but I seem to recall in Walking on Glass by the late Iain Banks one of the minor characters had a copy of a King novel in his back pocket. I think it was Pet Sematary.
