Who watched the first episode?

I liked it. The man who is playing Frank/evil Randall looked just like I imagined. Jamie and Claire a little different, but Claire has the wild hair. ;-D The man who plays Dougal I imagined to be more portly. Some nice scenery in the first episode. I thought they downplayed the horrible sound Claire heard around the stones, that should have been more prominent. I am looking forward to hearing the pronunciation of things, and knowing how much I butchered that in my head!

Haven't signed up for Starz yet but the first episode is supposed to be available on their website so planning to watch it that way and get signed up for Starz this week so I can continue on.

Have been enjoying the series so far and have it recorded on the DVR to watch again when they have their break in between episodes. From what I understand they'll air 8, have a break and then show the remaining 8 episodes. Also have seen that they've renewed for a Season 2 with 13 episodes to follow Dragonfly in Amber.

Yay! Glad it has been renewed already. I am 1 episode behind already, but am enjoying it a lot. I want hubby to watch with me, and so far he has indulged me. The romance stuff he isn't going to like so much, but the adventure and history stuff he is going to love. The scenery so far has been absolutely beautiful.

I'd heard Scotland was beautiful but had no idea it is so craggy, too. Definitely still on my travel bucket list and and added getting out to spots other than Edinburgh and Loch Ness. My partner is putting up with it, too, but not sure he's found any redeeming value.

Oh, yes. It's stunning (but generally breezy). The golf course at St. Andrews is right on the edge of the country. Craggy, rocky, blustery but beautiful.

This picture is from the Isle of Arran, where Andy lived in Scotland before moving to Canada.

Here is a blurb about them:
Machrie Moor Stone Circle, Isle Of Arran, Scotland

The place
The Isle of Arran, off the West Coast of Scotland, has many stone circles and standing stones dating from the Neolithic period and the early Bronze Age. The finest collection of circles can be found on Machrie Moor, on the West of the island.

p.s. I recorded the first show (the 1.5 hours) but have not watched it yet - saving it for this weekend

So has anyone watched this yet? I have two episodes recorded on my PVR (including the 1 1/2 hours opener) but have yet to actually sit down and watch it.

Well I am glad you liked it so far, but I guess it is never as good as the book :reading:
