Hi Patrick! Hope all is well. Good to see you on here.
Yeah good to be able, back down here in the river valley there's a reasonable amount of communication, up on the high flat ridges where I was having a bit of a relationship tiff with a certain Chevy who shall remain nameless (no seriously, I never have actually named 'her', mostly call her sweety and hunny bunches, babydoll, endearing stuff like that), I got diddly.
Right at the moment I'm parked in front of the storage after hunting down stuff in it, tomorrow I be huntin' some more for some stuff to sell on the great American free open market:encouragement:

if the weather and his truck allow it, I hope he heads to Scott's place
He might still be worried about his gear in the storage locker? (This isn't my place to suggest, but I wonder if the gear could be stored at or nearer to Scott's place? I would just really like to see you warm this winter, Patrick.)

 I don't feel very helpful, even when I donate to the fund.

I wonder if somehow PITH could use some fund money to rent a small U - Haul that can be hooked to the back of his truck, and transport his stuff to Scott's place.

...I talked to Patrick via text some time ago about coming to Cambridge....the only thing that has changed is, I have nowhere to put him up at my house now-and it's killing me....I extended the invite, then had to rescind it making me feel like the world's biggest welcher....I have a 2 and 1/2 bedroom home, with Tracy and I, my youngest son, Sis and our grandson-then Seth unexpectedly got his discharge papers from the Army and is home with us now.....I'm delighted about that of course, but it left no room in the sardine can and I now think I'm a colossal POS.....Pat has been quite cool about it, he's a hell of a man and a friend, I will do anything I can to help him get squared away if he gets here-I'll just have to find him another spot to lay his head....between churches, salvation Army etc, it can be done....

I would still feel better if he was with you. Even if your house is at full occupancy, you might have lawn or driveway he could park in,and you have a family he could have dinner with, and your a Giant friend who could help him with fixing the truck and building a porch.

OK - I don't know how to communicate this to Pat, but it looks like he's really close to where I grew up. Bracken County is very close to Kenton & Boone counties. There is a St. Vincent de Paul Society in Covington, KY which may be close to where he is. Here is a link to the page.

I know our St Vincent de Paul here is amazingly helpful. Daily meals, showers, clothing, shoes, they even have a shelter. Most of the time it's full but they have connections through the city to other places. It's getting too cold to be sleeping in a truck/van/car. Reach out Sai Pat.

I'm following this thread, contributing as much as this little ole friend of the sweetest, most caring and giving, bar none, member of the SKMB has ever seen, and spreading the word far and wide, tweeting from the rooftops! Chirp, tweet, twerk! (Oops! The twerk just slipped. Honest!) This faithful friend needs us NOW! Oh and bumpity-bumping this thread to the top! Winter's coming, Tet-Mates! Let's do our bit!

Last posting on the GoFundMe sight Pat says he can no longer stay overnight anywhere in the town he was at and has to find somewhere else to go. Man, this is breaking my heart....
Eh, I've been run out of better towns, could well be a couple states have welcomed my departure come to think on it:rolleyes:
Hey right now I'm in an old Cincinnati stomping ground of mine, things have changed a lot but then what doesn't, hoping I might run into some friend from the past...I mean not everybody wanted to tar and feather me, I'm sure someone remembers me if not somewhat fondly, at least well enough to maybe hook me up or point me in a direction for a winter gig in an area I still know pretty well.
No luck as yet, who ain't already dead might be in rehab, or facilitized:biggrin2:...but I still have places to look:encouragement:

Your from "Northern Kentucky" huh?...cool!
Ya know I did talk to the St. Vincent folks, back when I still had cataracts about to move into a condemned Raccoon party shack, they didn't offer to do anything for me, wouldn't even come to pick up some pretty nice furniture and clothes of Mama's I offered up for donation.
The oddest thing about that wayyy awful time, I just wasn't quite blind enough, or it was correctable, so....
So like, where did you go to school?...oh, I have two cans of Dixie Chile in the truck, jealous much:biggrin2:
