Ok - what did you think? In all honestly, by 40 mins in or so, I was begging for it to be over. Maybe it was just my mood. Was there too much going on but not really anything of importance? I don't want to say too much to spoil it for you if you haven't watched, but let's dish when you.
I really liked it! I think this season might top the first. I am loving this witch and her coven. She is one evil you know what. Not to mention the Creature working in a wax museum with a blind girl and the resurrection of Ethans girl. Will he find out and if so, what will he do? Hoping they introduce Jekyll and Hyde and others but this witch has got to be a big part of the new storyline and I hope they delve into Ethans werewolf background a little more.
Well, I have to agree with you. I think it was just my mood. I was tired. I kind of like Creature. Something about the Ethan/Vanessa thing bugged me. Maybe the acting was off - it didn't seem sincere.
After reading The Witching Hour, I have to agree that witches are perhaps the scariest thing

I think the witches will be fun and scary. But the one character that really tugs at me is The Monster.
He is many things. Sweet and Sad. Dead. Alive. Monster. Man. Vulnerable. Violent. I feel his longing and confusion. Well acted.

The first episode of this season, the opening scene where Vanessa is walking through the park against that white background. The cinematography of her stark silhouette against the snow, just a beautiful tableau.
I had a tough time with the baby scene at the end. I like the witches, but Vanessa is boring me. This possession,-- I'm looking half dead, ooops, no, I'm better now-- stuff is getting old.

I thought the same thing about what you mention in your spoiler. The Ogre and I were just speechless. Egad! Did they have to be that diabolical? But that's witches for you - scariest creatures ever. I felt like I need to bless myself with some Holy Water and say the Divine Praises to clean that out of my head
which I actually did, because I'm a total Catholic freakshow these days

Frankenstein is going to take Brona for himself. I realize John Claire was his successful FIRST attempt at reanimation, but really, Brona only has weird eyes? Her skin is perfect, none of this fishbelly white stuff. Of course, he got her fresher.
Yep - I think so too. And though he is endearing - smart, sad, sincere - John Claire is also very dangerous. Dr. Frankenstein better watch out!
I hope we move onto more Dorian Gray stuff.

Dorian was having lunch and was approached by a cross dressing prostitute. I knew right away it was a man, but the Ogre was not convinced. So he/she left Dorian his calling card. The episode ends with Dorian visiting the brothel and the prostitute says "I hope you know what you just paid for" and drops his gown to reveal full frontal male appendages.
