What a summer this is turning out to be. As many know,I need two more eye surgerys. Must postpone for a few months.
Hubby got insured at work. Oh what a time we have had. He was in the hospital and everytime we went to visit we got lost. Yup seen parts of the city I never seen. Probably will not see again.LOLHad to call my sister from Michigan to come stay with me. As not seeing real well,does allow my driving at night.
Anyhow,the day of the surgery .we get lost. We arrive at the hospital at 9 and hes not scheduled to go down until 10. so hes already downstairs and I was not happy. So a doctor says to me,I will take you down for just a sec. But stick with me and pretend we are suppose to be here.As never one of us are allowed in there.OMG Then the nurse tells us we need to wait in his room. Meanwhile come to findout the Chaplin was there the full time waiting for us in the waiting room.The staff never calls to say hubby is out of surgery.By this time I must leave to get our son. No one ever speaks to me including the doctor.I get home to get our son and there is several messages on my answering machine. Saying they will meet me in the hubbys room in 20 minutes or so. I have a 45 min.drive to get there,if Iam not lost. Yup right.
Then they release him and no medical supplies. Yup the company never delivered them here or to the hospital. So after calling his case manger they were delivered to the hospital by another company.5 hours later.This brings his release time from 1 to 6.He has a prescription that needs to be filled and started by 7. Well one store did not have them. I called Wal-mart who closed at 7. They agreed to fill them but weren't sure they had enough. Luckily they did.
Next he is told to call and schedule an appt. within a week. What a run around. The doctors office has a policy if its a workmen's comp. case you must schedule with there workmen's comp. person who they inform us is on vacation. Yup'I called the case manger and she tore them up. Got us in the next morning. She scheduled a ride for this as he can't get out of the wheelchair. The Medical company is suppose to be here at 7;30 for an 8:20 appt. No one shows up. So I call,they say they can't find the driver or the van and are sending another driver immediately. Yup again no one shows. The case manger call another medical company. They get him there by 1:00.
Mean while at the doctor. They tell him they can not put the cast on as he has fracture Blisters. Not sure what those are. They scheduled him another appt for the 19th. Then the first medical company calls to see how we liked there service. Oh hell,all I can say I became Pennywise and told them a few things. They said their records show they picked him up.
At this point I do believe I could use some balloons delivered by Pennywise.
My sister had to go home and see her doctor. As she is having skin treatments for Cancer.Hoping it all goes well. She said she made it home and seen the doctor and has several more appts.
Hoping our summer gets better and missing you all. Hope to get back on the board soon.

What an ordeal. You getting enough sleep?

Not sure. they said he will be laid up 12 wks or longer. I seem to being sleeping pretty well.His pain killer and we are all ready for sleep.

Hubby has second drs. appt. Hoping we get good news.And praying for no more drama with the medical transport.
Mikey had a school musical last night. Had to miss it. But am so proud as being speech delayed and having a talking part.
Monday he goes on a field trip to the County Music hall of Fame. Which I could Chaperone had to cancel.
but Tuesday while hubby is at the doctor. Hoping to attend Mikeys award ceremony. If transport gets hubby on time.

That makes sense. Just it is so hard without a cast as he can't do much. It makes us all nervous as not to bump it. We have to baby gate our poor dog in the laundry area. As he is 60 pounds and thinks he is a lap dog.
