I believe reading Rose Madder can actually be a good thing--although incredibly difficult and painful at times, there is strength to be found in Rosie's successes.

I find it very difficult choosing. I love The Stand, IT, The Talisman, The Dark Tower Series, The Green Mile... see? I just can't do it.


BBTheory is fantastic, Sheldon is great.

I love those as well...I do have a soft spot for Pet Sematary because it was the first SK book I read

I was hesitant to "like" your post because I hate what you've been through; thus my "like" is more of an "I hear you". I've never fully been in a physically abusive relationship - weirdly enough, the hitters don't respond well to being hit back, in my experience; sounds harsh, but it's seen me through - but I have taken more than a few severe emotional hits...Therefore, I wish you well & can only offer an ear if you need to vent. Hang on in there; annoy the living piddle out of the haters. Whatever else has happened, YOU ARE STILL HERE. And that is good You will overcome.

...lessee, I like chinchillas...as far as King's works, I like aspects of all of them....Leonard is my fave BBT'er and here on the Board, we hold our own close in love and comfort...you are now part of the family...and for what it's worth, I'm a champion of those that feel abused...the GNT doesn't do BS...
