today here in Philippines, i just wanna share that today, we celebrate one of the most important celebration from the history. It is the celebration of the declaration of independence from the spaniards that colonialized the country for 300+ years. It was also the first time our flag was waved outside the house that was now known as Aguinaldo Shrine in the date of June 12, 1898

Happy independence day Philippines!

Does everyone sit around all day, drink tons of beer, eat giant amounts of potato salad and then fall asleep during the fireworks?

We celebrate it like it was normal, but beyond normal in important sites, like if you go in historical sitings and historical building (National Museum for example) Everything is free. You will not pay any entrance fee to some, and some of the areas at Fort santiago (where Dr. Jose Rizal, the National Hero was imprisoned) that was unaccessible in normal days, were accessible, so you'll see dried bloods there or some left over from old century. (The creepy is, even some parts are wet, the markings and splats of the bloods were so visible that it gives you creeps. Except to the parts of Intramuros that was so unaccessible because of its problems in safety.

We celebrate it by looking again at the timeline of the past and appreciate it so much and the television was showing documentaries about independence day than eating a lot.
