My method makes this whole conundrum very easy; just sort them by size. Tallest to smallest, left to right. And if you have gargantuan books or weirdly shaped ones, they go on the bottom shelf. (or in a closet) I also drag smaller books forward to create a nice, uniform "facing" when you look at the shelves head on. It's a very neat and orderly look for a living room. :biggrin2:



And I love your collection! Do my eyes deceive me, or are there a lot of first editions there?

Thank you. I have first editions but some of the older titles like Salem's Lot, The Shining and Firestarter are all book club editions. Also, I've acquired my entire collection from thrift stores and library sales.
