Here is Ozzy when he was young. I don't have a photo of old Ozzy on the computer I'm on. I think he was about 4 in this picture. He is 12+ now. He looks like he is locking in on a squirrel here. He was a really good squirrel chaser in his younger days. He even caught one while I had him on a leash once. ;-D

....Lucy aka Lucy Goosey, Lucy Boo, Lucy-Burger, the Mona Lucy.
Lucy looks identical to my boy, Jet! He's a half-wild farm cat. I rescued him and his sister a couple years ago because they were getting beat up and attacked by all the other farm cats. Someday I would like to find another farm where they could live-somewhere there aren't other cats. I'm sure they'd be happier, but at least they're alive and safe now!

He's got two on, his regular everyday one and the kind of mean looking one for walking him. He was a big problem to take on a walk because he could twist out of any collar and then he had a bad habit of wanting to run right down the middle of the street. That is a choke collar and the vet assured me that the collar was ok and was certainly better than him running down the middle of the street. He could even twist out of that one once in a while. He was a real handful for a long time. ;-D I was probably getting ready to take him for a walk is why he had that on. I only put that on him to walk him.

Awwww so many cute babies! I havent got any pics on this computer but mine are Jasper (looks suspiciously like The Simpson's - Santa's Little Helper). He is 15 and been my baby since he was a teeny pup...and Miss Pepper-Anne, who was rehomed about 18 months ago, when she was 2. She is crazy and long legged and seems to be nothing BUT legs when she is on the bed and we are sleeping - or trying to. Having spent the last 5 months with Jasper at my Mums and pepper in the kennels, getting to see her only once or twice a week...I am in heaven having them home finally! (house repairs, not abandonment! :p ) I'll post pics another time. Its nice to see others who adore their pets too!

It was our daughter who brought the warrior in, when the warrior was still little. Daughter grew up and moved out, but the warrior stayed, but he was still hers. When the day came when the warrior had to be taken in, the daughter came in, spent time with him....

....and then we drove to the vet and did what we had to do. Wasn't the first time I've had to do that, won't be the last, and it's never easy.

The warrior and the dog were close buddies. The dog knew what was going on. She was depressed. She was in mourning the whole week after.

:( I was barely breathing when I read this post. I struggle with this soooo much. Every single time, it's like it's the first time. I am surprised at how much our hearts can take sometimes.

They do love / hate some squirrels, don't they? My Ruby cracked a window with her head once trying to get at a squirrel.

Around dusk, Ozzy would just sit in the backyard looking and waiting for a squirrel to show it's face. As soon as he saw one he would charge after it and the squirrel would run and jump in a tree at the last second. This went on every night for years. ;-D
