Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Kahlessa, an omnivorous reader. My first Stephen King book was The Shining. I've worked as a bookseller and as a literature teacher. Looking forward to joining the discussions on this forum! =D
Welcome Kahlessa - that is a very nice owl you have there - Welcome to the SKMB!

Btw, what is the spoiler policy? I didn't see it in the FAQs and I would like to avoid making more work for the moderators. ;-D
Hi Kahlessa, nice to have you here. Basically anything that you think might spoil something for somebody not having read a book can go behind a spoiler tag. If the thread title includes *Spoilers*, then usually it is fine to not bother adding tags.
You may find that most things go behind spoilers in the TV forums though as people watching a series may not be keeping up with it and will want to read those posts later on.

To use a spoiler you can either type in [spoil3r]hidden message here[/spoil3r] (replace the 3's with an "e") or use the Insert option above the message reply box. (3 icons over from the smileys)

We wrap spoilers around anything that may spoil a book or TV show, for instance, for someone who hasn't read/seen it.
Also, generally, I think most people want to keep this site pretty clean--no over-indulgence in profanity or skin, y'know? It shows respect for each other and for Mr. King. But, if we post something that might be kinda iffy, or has profanity that might disturb some, you can post it under a spoiler title that describes it so others can decide if they want to click on it.

Oh boy, Danie... I wasn't thinking of that side of the spoiler tag...!
(Baby-girl, did you have your mind in the gutter? kidding... :a11: :biggrin2: )
