So say the USPS-- on Sunday the price of a first class stamp will decrease from the present 49 cents to 47 cents.

So you think you will spending less--- have you checked the Increase in the cost of the flat rate Priority mailer boxes, regular priority, or even parcel post? Ouch! Anywhere from $1 to $2 increase per item.

Wouldn't ya know it... We recently bought a couple rolls of 100 forever stamps at the 49 cents/stamp price :(

Isn't that the way? I use mainly media mail--I'll have to check to see if the rates have changed on those. Thanks for the heads up!

This should have bought them some goodwill based on standards from the '70's. Nowadays the general population is too intelligent (or too wary from being shafted as a way of life in the name of profit). No-one hardly sends mail anymore but they do send packages. I'm sure this is lost on no-one except the ad-exec who said "Hey wait! I have an idea...". Peace, mal.
