Back before I had kids, I went shopping with my (now) mother-in-law for a dress to wear to my (now) brother-in-law's wedding.
We went to some boutique that didn't have price tags on the gowns (should've been my first clue...what's the saying? "If you have to ask, you can't afford it").
I saw a beautiful gown and took it into the fitting room. It fit like a glove. Went out to show MIL and everyone was oohing and aahing so I decided to buy it.
It was $445.00.
I paid for it, and left the store in shock. Granted, it was my own money that I worked for, but I still felt embarrassed telling my (now) husband how much it cost.
I only wore it once. It still fits and is hanging in my closet waiting to be worn again, but I never go anywhere formal anymore.
Anyone want a size 4 gown? Special SKMB discount! :D
Great story! You should put the gown on once a week, light some candles and read SK. Take a picture of you doing this and post it on Instagram. I'll "like" it!

Or you can just leave it hanging in the closet.

It's always happy hour, and I have YET to collect a single red cent for any beer, wine or spirits. :(

(I stock Bud, Coors Light, Milwaukee's Best, and Genesee Cream Ale. But if you drop by I'll pick up some Old Leghumper Robust Porter for you.)

No Yuengling? You should be shot.

What time does the floor show start....and tell me about the dancers.......;;D

I almost forgot!! Designer Jeans that had to be had in the 80's. I bugged the heck out of mother when I was in school to have a pair. Well, I got them and the blue faded on my legs...Just a total let down.

They were Jordache Jeans...I was like a size 3 back then and still had to lie down on the bed to get them on.
oh yes, we all had to lie down to get our jeans on, didnt we? I can remember a bunch of us girls getting ready to go for the night at a friend's house. Half the time, we would hold the jeans closed and one of our friends would zip them up. THAT's how tight these things were.
