How long after we see a "your posting to fast" notice before we re submit and answer. Maybe ill edit change my answer, it might have been rejected...

Or should I wait until tomorrow, so I'm not accidentally flooding you guys.
It takes a while for those to come in. Give it a while, moderator is on duty and doing her best. A lot of people think their posts aren't going through and they are, and so it ends up a double post which we then have to delete.

It's really amazing what people will share anonymously. As I'm reading the postings, I'm finding that I'm not enjoying it.
I also have to wonder how much of what people are writing is the truth. Some seem to be enjoying the attention they perceive they are receiving by posting their darkest thoughts or feelings.
I realize that it's supposed to be dark, and maybe uncomfortable......but I think I really don't like it.
To me, it feels like feeding a negative energy, and that's not healthy.
Of course, that's just my opinion and in absolutely no way is it to be taken as knocking the idea or hard work that Brian and Jordan have put into building the site. Their work is fabulous, as always.
It's just not for me.

Fair enough, I can see why you might say that. It's really dark content. (That said, its like friggin' Sesame Street compared to Revival.) Just know that its more about the user answering the question for themselves than it is about sharing it with the world.

As the user has no rep or ID online, there is really no inherent need to troll or write fiction. If they do its kind of a waste of time. There have only been a couple submissions I've read that have really triggered by bullshit detector. For the most part the submissions seem sincere. Maybe I'm being naive.

Many are dark and raw. But maybe there is catharsis in this for them. Yes, it's anonymous and people can't respond to each other, so what would really be the point of lying? It would be a huge time suck for them to go to all that trouble and not get any feedback on it. I don't know, I guess I am naive too, but I'm receiving these as their truth and for some, it might be the first time they've actually told anyone any of their story. It might be a little thing that will build into something bigger for them personally. Who knows? I am the girl who looks at the glass half empty with a crack in it. THis is actually making me look at the glass as half full with Dr. Pepper on ice! There is weight on my heart when I read them, but there is also some uplifting ones too.

Is it just me, or is anyone else getting really scared to read Revival. If, like Brian says, this site is "Sesame Street" compare to the book, I am not sure how I wiil get through it.:O_O: I am hoping there will be consoling available for us after reading. I guess that's what's on the "Other Side" part of the site???

After reading that i will camp outside the store on the 11,th. But the Store situated in Old Town so it is difficult to put up a tent there. And the hotels are really expensive. Guess i just have to take the subway to town in the afternoon and hope that the book is still there.

Can you call ahead and ask them to save you a copy? I do that, as store is a long drive for me.

I think I will be playing my Gayatri Manta CD as I read Revival to ward off any negative vibes to the psyche. Can't wait for this new experience.
For me it was the very ending that caused the most visceral emotions. There were, of course, hints along the way that it was leading to something big but I could never have imagined what it was.
