I've been meaning to post this for a long time. Did you know that you can nominate someone for a Profiles in Courage award? I read the book and was inspired by the thought. It can be someone from any party. Any level of government -- from a city council person to the President of the United States. Go to the web site link and check out the criteria for nominating. There is an online submission form, but you can get very elaborate and put together a packet of information for the committee. I nominated someone once. This guy was local and totally someone I WOULD NOT vote for. BUT, he did ONE thing that I loved and I felt like it took a lot of courage to do it. Plus it made me laugh he had the balls to actually do it when people thought he was a nut. lol! I wish I could say more. Anyway, you guys feel so strongly about your people in politics, nominate them for a Profiles in Courage award. They take candidates all year long. And no matter who it is, if they are nominated, they are considered. Criteria and Eligibility - John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum If you care to share, let us know if you do.
