One of the four my mom had. He wasn't the favored dog--either ignored or yelled at--so DD#1 decided to bring him home. He's just a sweetie! He looked and smelled bad, but that was soon sorted: a grooming and vet visit did the trick. Now he looks cute, has his shots for the first time in years, his toenails are clipped (one was so long that it had doubled over and was growing up in a letter 's' laying on it's belly shape), and he's getting his teeth fixed. We found out he has terrible gum disease (thus the bad breath) from eating a diet of soft treats and human food, both bad for any dog, but particularly for small terriers (according to our vet) as they already have a tendency toward bad teeth. They need crunchy food and treats, always. He's lost one tooth in the front already, and the vet will likely have to pull another one, but then he'll be all healthy :) He had the one pee accident, and that's it. Best of all, he and Lulu get along great :) Very glad we got him!
God bless you for taking him in!

This is a beautiful story skimom2 - and look how gorgeous he is now that he has been groomed. I am so glad he is finally in a home where he will be taken care of and appreciated - that is just lovely :cheerful:
