I SO wish the script would be based on Salvatore's Vector Prime. Most Star Wars-based books are pretty repetitive and by the numbers, but that one really grabbed me. Great story, great imagery, older Han, Leia, & Luke (& Han & Leia's three kids). AND CHEWIE!

Good god, I'm a nerd...

I saw the first one when I was 9, I think, and immediately came home to draw the whole cast, over and over. I loved (and love) that movie--so different than the late '70s usual.

NPR (Wyoming Public Radio, actually) said that he'd definitely have Harrison Ford, Mark Hammil, and Carrie Fischer back. After seeing Mr. Ford in the last Indiana Jones debacle movie, not to mention rather joylessly watching the latest three Star Wars episodes (Parts 1 through 3), my enthusiasm is on hold.

We saw Star Wars in the summer of '77. I'd gotten orders for Okinawa. I wanted to see it, and Grandma said she thought it looked cheap from the TV ads, a comment she's come to regret over the years, but sure, let's go see it.

We saw it at the Carlsbad, CA, theater, and we were blown away. Went to work and raved about it. Went and saw it again. Came back to Illinois to friends and family for a couple weeks' leave before going to Okinawa, and we took friends to see it two more times. Never before or since have we watched a new movie four times in one month. It was a game-changer. A paradigm shift.
