I guess the proper thing to do is to let the person on the other end know so they are not offended and realize I'm only cleaning up a bit. ;-D
(doh Flake :a11: ) Um, yes... this would be wise. :biggrin2:
(Although, if you don't click "ignore further messages" they will actually never know you have deleted it. Because the conversation will still show up in their list.)

Yes, but you would do that even if you could delete the Conversation outright. What might happen, though, is you'll contact the member and strike up a new Conversation! But it's all good! It surprises me somewhat that the board can store so much data, but I'm ignorant of lots of things. How do I know this? I don't know. See?

I will send them a message on the one I'm leaving before I leave it.

I have several one or two reply conversations from the same people - I'm just wanting to clean out the old ones that are not used anymore.

Are all conversations viewable to anyone?

For example, if I start a conversation with one person, and do NOT include anyone else in it, is it viewable to others that go to his/her profile page? Or are those some different kind of private messages that I can see on a person's profile page?

MsMod knows best- but as far as I know. PM ( conversations ) are totally private between you and the person you list. If you list more than one, they both see and read. Not visible to others on MB.

The profile message is visible to anyone of the members.

First, I need to make sure we're distinguishing between Conversations and Profile posts. Conversations are the same as Private Messages from the old Board. Only the people who are on the invite list are able to view those. Profile posts, however, can be viewed by anyone who goes to that person's Profile page. They cannot be seen by guests so unless someone is a member and logged on, they cannot see those.

Edit: If you don't want something you've written seen by others, it's best to do that in a Conversation.
