I watched the clip of Mr. King on "Finding Your Roots." I was curious if that was filmed at King's home, or if that is a special library, perhaps at Harvard, that Mr. Gates' uses for his research? I have never seen the show, but have heard of it. Seems interesting.

I don't know the answer to your question but I am excited to see this! I have been waiting since Ms. Mod mentioned it a while ago. :biggrin2: We are big into genealogy in my family and it will be cool to see what SK finds out about his ancestors.

It was filmed in Florida but I wasn't there at the time and haven't seen the full episode so don't know the specific places where they filmed.

I just found out that we get a version of PBS over here (it's PBS America content, but what they seem to think we'd be interested in).
I saw that the first season of 'Finding Your Roots' ('Finding Your Roonts'? ;;D) was broadcast in April - though whether that was 2013 or 2014, it doesn't say.
If the former, season 2 should begin to air sometime next spring. If the latter, it looks like it might take until 2016 before I see SK's ep.

This is so good Rrty - thanks for bringing this up. I did find a short clip on line and here is a link:

Hey Mr Nobody - I hope the clip comes up. We get PBS up here in Canada but I will probably have to wait until 2015 to see this episode.

Fingers crossed. Sometimes, though, it's like being back in the '80s. You know that thing where people thought that what North Americans do today, we will be doing in 3-5 years' time? There was a reason for that.
I dunno...maybe someone ought to invent quicker communications devices. We could put them in space, maybe call them..."satellites". Or maybe have something on the ground, something that could transmit a lot of data, very quickly...with lots of interconnected, erm, 'servers' that would form...a web...
