This was the first time I've seen this show. Wow. Very powerful and emotional! I was only planning on watching the SK part, but was immediately sucked in to the other two stories as well.

I have a couple questions though,

Did they find out more than they aired about his father? I don't want details, just would like to know if the process brought him some kind of closure. My heart was aching for him, and I truly hope it did.

Did he also get one of the neat family trees like the other two were presented with? I rewound to see if I had missed it, but didn't see him get one.

I do know more but do not feel at liberty to discuss it in a public forum especially since Stephen hasn't discussed it.

He did get one of the family trees which is hanging in his house in Bangor.
No, I don't want you to reveal anything! I just really hope what he found out helped. I kind of felt a kinship with him, because of Brandon...I know he has lots of questions about his father, who didn't stick around. Especially health related, since losing Ahmira. Those kinds of questions I cannot answer and have very mixed feelings about him persuing on his own now that he is an adult. I am afraid of it causing more heartache. So I just truly hope all that was discovered helped him.

I am glad he got one of the trees. :)

Someone else had asked up above so wasn't specifically directed to you but no offense taken in any case. :smile2:

Oh good! Because I really do not want to know everything, wasn't trying to be a nosy Annie Bates. ;-D Just a genuine hope that it was a positive experience for him! As positive as possible, coming out of such a hurtful thing.

There were good and positive things about earlier ancestors, and he seemed tickled and pleased about those things. :encouragement:

I enjoyed the show. As I said before genealogy is a big thing in my family. I thought it was interesting how all of their histories went back to slavery in one way or another. I suspect most American's would though. I wish I could have Mr. Gates research my family lines!
I was happy to see SK find some information about his ancestors.

I also enjoyed the show too. Especially liked the connection to Peru, Indiana. Because, as a kid (eight years old), I spent a year by there. Even got lost walking home from school, on my very first day (while a blizzard was approaching no less). School was let out early, so I just went walking, like all the other kids. Unfortunately, I had no clue how to get home. Found childhood memories.

I'm sorry if this has already been covered, but is there any way for the Down Under crowd to see this?
(there might not be enough of us to call it a crowd. )

Flake- I have no knowledge of this- but when you click on the green sign for $1.99 it brings you to sign up for google acct. Not even sure if international. maybe Marsha will know a way to view the program. It was so good.

Couldn't get past the first block unfortunately--not available for viewing in my country, thanks though, Spidey. xox
