Hi,
I haven't been on for a while, I got caught up in the 9-5 rush and stopped writing for a little over a year. Grateful to be back at it.
I'm currently writing an apocalyptic type of tale and I want to use trade schools and other businesses, such as hospital titles and hotels in my story. Places my characters either attended or stayed and I was struggling with finding information regarding the use of such names like, MIT, JFK airport, and some well know hotels in the story. Can anyone shed some light or direct me to a layman's written sight I can find the information at? Again I hope this is the right forum for this sort of question?
Happy Wednesday to all.

You can also based your tale in a fictionalized world and invent all names as events and the circumstances in the story require. I think you'll be safe as long as you don't make negative references to these names, if actual, or people.

Thanks. Yeah the story is based here, a few years in the future. And the mention of these places are simply place identifiers and background information for the characters. No negative reference to them, maybe some of the characters they educated, but all fictional.
