So far so good--I'm still here. We haven't reached the negotiation process yet for what happens after I turn 66, though. We'll see if I'm singing the same tune then. :smile2:
I think you misunderstood my comment. I was asking how the retiring on your terms plan was going? You really think he'll let you go without a fight, regardless of what he says today?

Marsha, just a couple more months and that's it. I promise. (for the 5th time)

I apologize if this has already been asked, but when reading the synopsis for "Revival" I noticed the use of these two names: Jamie and Claire
(Do you think this is subliminal?) Maybe he heard the names kicked around the office (or even read about the two Scottish characters a while back so it was in his subconscious?)

Marsha? Have you been (Jamie) drooling all over the office? :biggrin2:

He's read a couple of the Outlander books so I imagine that had something to do with it. :smile2:

not to be perfectionistic but isn't Claire english? A big difference at that time. Don't know how it is seen today.

I wonder how many stories King started before he put the kibosh on them? Or if he started something and down the road he said well it seemed like a good idea at the time but...but what?...things took a turn...though he finished anyway?

My uncle was telling me about this old farmer he ran into the other day...92 years old, still making hay on 700 acres. Two years older than Jimmy Carter and Carter is still pounding nails for Habitat. The old buck isn't tossing hay around, but he does cut and whatever...rake it? behind the wheel of a tractor. I wonder what another 25 or 30 years of moderating would do to a person's outlook? Crank up the chipper/shredder more often, maybe. Maybe there'll be a DeathStar in orbit another ten fifteen years down the road...someone logs on w/a bad attitude, dial in some stats, push a button. Suffer the infraction! No syllables for you!

Generally speaking he doesn't seem to mind answering quesitons as he has done numerours "conversations" as large universities and such.
Υes I know, I didnt mean that his doesnt like questions. Sorry if it came that way. I ve seen q&a's with him. I meant questions like "how can I be a writer", "will you read my book" and "where do you get these ideas".. things like that. And I know he may be answering these gracefully and truthfully, but I think that at some point these questions would probably not be your favorite, to say it mildly.

Would Stephen ever consider coming to a military installation and speaking to up and coming or those that inspire to be writers?
He did go to Ramstein AFB and Landstuhl Medical Center in Germany last November but didn't specifically speak to aspiring writers. The USO arranged for a more open meeting at the Wounded Warrior Center with all sorts of questions asked.

He has the same answers to those questions every time and answers them before people ask them time and time again during a lot of the conversations, so yea, I can imagine that would get tiring but when it's what you love to do, do you ever REALLY get tired of talking about it?
