That would be me. Send me a PM with the contact info. It might not be able to be arranged, but we can get the conversation started.

This may be too personal, if so I apologize. Since he is from the area(maybe not this time of year anymore )and is somewhat involved in politics, I was wondering how he feels about the strike going on at Fairpoint? The workers are getting a lot of democratic support so I was just curious.

Not something we've specifically discussed but in general he's supportive of union workers.

not to be perfectionistic but isn't Claire english? A big difference at that time. Don't know how it is seen today.
Yes Claire is English - if you read Outlander or any of the other books in the series you would know that. - so stop being a "perfectionist" (I think you missed the whole point silly!) :biggrin2::face:

Well, technically back in the day - if you married a Scottish man in the 1700s by law you became a Scottish citizen! :lol2::haha: (but now I am just 'flogging a dead horse' here). Yes - you are indeed correct - Claire was English and Jamie was Scottish. (but I think she had a Scottish heart after all those years with Jamie) :m_bigwink:

This question is for the Madame Ms. Mod. I received an email from the Collins Center about a dinner on Nov 8th before the show starts. It mentioned that Stephen will be speaking. Is he doing any kind of meet and greet or is it just a walk in, talk, walk out type of situation? I have tickets for the Sunday show, thinking of exchanging them for this.

There's a reception before the dinner (5-6 PM) as well which would be the meet/greet thing but he will not be there for the entire hour so unlikely he'd be able to spend a lot of time with each person attending. His "speaking" at the dinner will be very brief--it's not like a keynote speech, more of a thank you for coming, hope you enjoy the show and maybe a little bit about how it came about. If you plan on coming, let me know as I'll be there for the dinner and, of course, the performance so we could introduce ourselves. I have an invitation but didn't plan to be there early enough for the reception.

WABI (Channel 5) spoke with author Stephen King and musician John Mellencamp about “Ghost Brothers of Darkland County,” a Southern gothic supernatural musical written by King that debuts Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Collins Center for the Arts at the University of Maine. King, a best-selling author and UMaine alumnus, teamed with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Mellencamp and Grammy Award-winning T Bone Burnett to create the tale of fraternal love, lust, jealousy and revenge. King spoke about what it’s like to kick off the 2014 leg of the tour right near his hometown of Bangor. “It’s wonderful because you know, I’ve lived here going on 40 years now. It’s my hometown. It’s kind of like, come on out and see what I did because it’s almost like when you are in the first grade and your parents come to your show or something like that so, I hope everyone comes and everybody really likes,” King said. “I’m excited. Let’s put it that way.”

Yes!! thanks for your reply. I got tickets yesterday. The woman from the Collins Center was so excited about this event. I swear she repeated the phrase "you're going to have have so much fun" about a dozen times. It was really cute. She's right, it IS going to be a blast. I wrangled up a friend to join me and we have great orchestra seats for the show(didn't know that was in the Gala ticket price. yay!) I'm so looking forward to this! I absolutely want to introduce myself and meet you. One question.....how will I know who you are?
