Just reading what Mayte wrote broke my heart enough, so I don't need to see any images. I believe what she said that Prince never got 'over' it. I can't imagine how it must have been for the both of them. I really believe that this is what drove him to become a Jehovah's Witness and that the JW saved him.

What makes it all the more difficult (for Prince and Mayte) is that the wrong date/time was listed on the death certificate so someone in the local government of Minneapolis made a big deal about it and started an investigation, claiming that something wasn't right and implying that Prince and Mayte had something to do with the baby's death. Just throw some salt into the wound, ya freaking officials!

Finally heard Moonbeam Levels. They kept it off the internet, so I had to go to an actual store to listen to it. It's great, it's one of those glowing, slightly victorious ballad kind of songs (like, say, Gold). I can see why Susan Rogers heart broke each time he pulled it back at the last minute.

Anyone any idea when they're planning the first release of all-new unreleased material?

At this point no one seems to know anything about when/if we will ever see any of those thousands (yes, thousands!!) of unreleased songs that are in the vault. It's a shame that it has taken this long for anything other than the one song to be released.

My mind cannot easily visualize him without a moustache (even when he is not wearing it, like in this picture). It is like such an iconic part of him, and I have seen him with it since before I could read.

I just bought The Most Beautiful by Mayte Garcia. She was Prince's first wife. Gonna be hard to read it but I want to know what he was like on an 'everyday' level and she should be the one to give me a glimpse into what it was like being with him.

Just finished The Most Precious- My Life With Prince. Not quite sure how I feel about it yet. Overall it does paint a nice portrait of a very loving, nurturing, gracious, giving man. There are a lot of shared memories that are lovingly sweet. There are a couple that aren't as sweet. But, Prince was a human being with all of the complications and hang-ups that go along with being one. None of us are perfect. He tried to be a better human being and towards the end of his life he achieved that. I wish him peace.

Wow, this was a shocker to see this! Nobody knew about this at all! I'm a member of prince.org and there was no mention of this music coming out at all and there are some very well connected people on the org.
