Sly just won't give up.. The original First Blood was based on a better than average book of the same name by David Morrell,in case you haven't read it yet.:grinning:

Anyone who used to dig David Morrell's stuff might like a guilty pleasure throwback.
Robert Shea's "Shike" (ninjuhy unrequited love stuff) series (there were only two I think) were fun when I first had hormones squirting around.

My friend, Richard, gets annoyed at this. Frankly he doesn't see how the man "can do all that, and LOOK like he does, but was 4F for Vietnam? Yeah right," he says.

He's hilarious. But I thought they alREADY did a Rambo V, the one where he gets brain damage and comes back from that too, which I'm telling you is next to impossible or not realistic at all.
Just ask Gabrielle Gifford how easy it is to recover from head trauma. The recovery rate is woefully low.
Besides that, I have no idea how Stallone is going to show a difference between Rocky as he is now and then when he gets a brain trauma.
I mean to say his character in almost every movie acts as if he alREADY has sustained substantial traumatic brain injury. I'm not saying that JUST to be unfeeling. It really seems that if you did a Glasgow Coma Score on him, it would be lower than most people's, just like my sister's is but hers is from an oxygen deprivation that occurred during a near-drowning incident.

David Morrell writes good stories, but they all seem like screenplays.
a lot of books today are like that.. Lots of explosions and improbable escapes and plot twists, seems like the authors have their fingers crossed hoping for the big call from a movie producer..

Really! I mean, really?

Give it up Sly. You're almost 70. No more action movies for you. You could break a hip!

Fat Rambo! I love it. Keep milking that cow! The plot writes itself...Rambo gets called to the middle east to rescue some children from the evil ISIL. It's initially too much for him so he gathers all of his former tough guy buddies. Movie ends when Rambo and main bad guy have a boxing match for all the marbles!

Right with Missing in Action 9 or Lethal Weapon 7.8 or whatever else.

I enjoyed First Blood. It wasn't wonderful cinema, but it chewed up the minutes. When they came back with the Rambo stuff, I thought, they're milking this cow, and haven't watched it since.

He was filming Creed on the way to my dr yesterday. (The next Rocky movie) sigh.

I was driven through a bad part of a town next to me. It was in front of a really old, broken down boxing training place

I did not see him, but others did, with the crew. The road was blocked off.

He was also at the Art museum on top of the steps (Again) and taking selfies with people.

could be worse - at least for older gentleman they try to stay in shape - aging is inevitable and sometimes hard to accept - (ask me - I look in the mirror now and it is hard to recognize myself)
