I didn't go back to check the older posts, and I haven't seen the movie yet. So if everyone has already had their say on this and I am too late then I'm sorry. This post is in reference to the movie "American Sniper", it's really amazing to me the amount of people that live in our world who can honestly believe that a sniper is a coward. I just want to say that I was raised by a man who served in the Marines, a man who had some balls who worked his ass off running heavy equipment building some of the hi ways we use today. He had integrity, he earned peoples trust. He wasn't afraid to pull his piece and defend himself in the Marines (he was sent in to Veitnam right before the war broke out), and he darn sure wasn't afraid to pull his piece on the thugs in our area who trespassed on our land. I am a fortunate person to have been raised by this type of man, the men and women who serve to protect our country have earned my respect. That said I feel a little better!!

Also, I would predict that all the seats in our little hometown theatre here in the heartland will be full every night a show time to see this much anticipated film!

Hi!

I don't understand the *coward* thing either.

I thought the movie was about PTSD and getting our service people and families the support they need. IDK.

Just my opinion.

Peace.

Part of the complaining about the movie is the fella himself.

Some quotes from Chris Kyle, the guy the movie is based on.

“But I wondered, how would I feel about killing someone? Now I know. It’s no big deal.”

“I couldn’t give a flying f*** about the Iraqis”

His thoughts on the war:

"I loved what I did. … I’m not lying or exaggerating to say it was fun.”
