My daughter text me today and said she they are having cadaver (on a human) class today in science. I am really curious to hear how she feels after class, I'll have to keep you all posted!

I got to witness an autopsy and it is really fascinating. The body is just a body. The lady I saw did not seem real at all. But I will always remember her. She shared the first and last name of my lifelong childhood friend.
Over the years of working in the flowershop and delivering memorials to funerals, I also saw a lot of people who had passed, had to pin a few corsages on the ladies. Liz often tagged along with me to the funeral home, so I know she won't be scared of the cadaver, but the opening of the cadaver may startle her....I will be curious!
That is so funny! They had at least one...maybe two commercials during the Superbowl, goats screaming...or a variation on a goat. Antelope or something...and a donkey? Do goats sound like that? Whitetail deer make a noise that is close to that...called "blowing"...or...some other words I forget. I've known people who had goats but none of them were hoodlum goats who raided peanut butter factories. Deer make the noise when they are startled, surprised...although I watched an adult doe make the noise, standing stock still except to make the noise...and after many minutes one of her young caught up with her...one of two...she had twins and the other was already nearby.
Yes, goats can make that noise!
Update: I just text Liz and asked her how her class went...she said class was good, then said there was a woman's cadaver and a man's cadaver, she held a liver that was bigger than two heads together, she held a heart, and she felt the tissue of the brain. I asked her if she was scared, her answer was "No". Kudo's to her for braveness!
Admirable! That is not in my "wheelhouse" of things I could handle!
This is a random thought.....Mod I am sure you get vacation time, but what about sick leave? In the event that you aren't feeling well does one of the other moderators cover for you?
Fortunately I rarely get sick--could probably count on one hand the amount of sick time I've taken in the last 10+ years, but they cover for me during all of the times that I'm off duty for whatever the reason. They do this completely as volunteers, though, so may not be on the Board during the same times or for as long at a stretch as I would have during my office hours.
Sai King can add awesome Boss to his list of amazing talents.
I'm glad you have the security of knowing that it's ok to be gone in the event you need to, and cheers to your good health! Thanks to the volunteers, in my mind I assumed all the moderators were paid employees.
Another random thought on work....I really love my job right now, my boss realizes that my job is rather boring most of the day in the respect that after I get the usual work load done I have nothing to do really but to babysit the phone (which most days doesn't ring very often), he lets me be online and also lets me take college classes online, and for those reason I find myself feeling very fortunate!
Should I throw my phone out the window?
I am so happy that it is Friday....I could squeal like a little girl.
Liz was telling me the other day that she watched "A Good Marriage" on Netflix, she said it was really good
