The fan is often below the laptop and needs to have good ventilation to run well...
Thanks!

My mom is very sensitive about difficult animal "stuff" in books (as I am). There are many SK and non-SK books that I've read and had to skim over certain parts and simply block it out after reading. I just bought my mom another SK book (she's only read two so far). Well, obviously there was something in the book I forgot about. She is so mad at me and quit reading it. I promised I wouldn't give her any more SK books. I am just so very sad right now. :(

(((Morgan))) she should know you would never hurt her intentionally--sometimes parents forget that they can still hurt their kids, even when they're both grown up.
Try not to hear what she's telling you, girl, this isn't your fault. xox

Thanks, Flake. I just wanted someone in my everyday life to love SK as much as I do. Wanted someone to talk to about his work. I think I made a mistake based on my own desperate wish - lesson learned I guess. :a11:

I understand exactly what you're saying. Sometimes we can't get what we want, or need... but it doesn't stop us from trying, because it's kinda like giving up if we do.

Just because she isn't the right person for this, doesn't mean that there won't be a right person for this... at some point.

Hugs... (((Morgan)))

I always have difficulty with animal stuff. I guess I'm able to continue to remind myself that it's just a story, and that sK's purpose is to make hateful reality easier to deal with by getting some honest horrors on the table.

I saw in a few different computer stores and Staples that you can buy a lap cover for the bottom of the laptop. It's
vented in such a way that the laptop won't overheat and your lap does get hot. Think they were around $20.00.

Thanks for that idea Alexandra - right now I am using a plastic (Tupperware) tray that has sections in it. I guess it is sort of a TV tray - better than nothing but I will take a quick trip to Staples so I don't burn out the laptop :tickled_pink:

Do you mind if I ask which book it was that you bought for her?
